All modern lubricants contain additives that inhibit breakdown. As these additives are depleted, sludge is formed. This shortens equipment life and reduces performance causing an overall increase in operating costs. Fluid Rx Instant Lubricant test is a radial planar chromatographic analysis tool that measures the level of sludge in a lubricant.

When test results are monitored and compared at regular intervals, change cycles can be determined. Proper replacement of depleted lubricants with new fluids helps protect engines, drive trains and mechanical systems from abnormal wear caused by acids, sludge and lubricant degradation.
